One of my fave color combos

One of my favorite color combos is fuschia and green. And I especially love it in simple, classic pieces put together.

Because this outfit is so simple and classic, I can see it being worn with short hair and a simple pair of studs. This outfit would look absolutely fabulous on Anne Hathaway and Ginnifer Goodwin, as well as Audrey Hepburn. And because of the combination of 2 opposite hues, it's fun while still remaining classic.

Shades of gray

I recently purchased this gray knit skirt from Old Navy. It is so incredibly comfy.

Then I added these Steve Madden booties, which were a gift, along with gray textured tights.

Because of the neutrality of the bottom half, the top half can be topped with just about anything. A button-down topped with a denim jacket, a lightweight sweater or sweatshirt or even just a t-shirt. Just make sure that the top half has some color so you don't end up looking like a concrete statue.

The Year of the Hair makeover

In case you missed it, I LOVE me a good makeover! These two are recent makeovers.

TAYLOR SWIFT

This new 'do on Taylor Swift looks so chic on her. She looks so sophisticated in the straight hair and the bangs really bring out her eyes. I prefer the style on the right on her. It's very sultry.

KATY PERRY

I LOVE, Love, love Katy Perry's new hair. The length is so hot on her. And I absolutely adore the unique color. Her bronze-y makeup color palette compliments her new 'do perfectly and I am so in love with Katy's eyebrows!

I included Ginnifer Goodwin's punky pixie just simply because I like it. The only one of her movies that I've seen is "He's just not that into you" and her hair was so frumpy in that movie. This style is absolutely amazing on her. It really brings out her features and, most especially, her GORGEOUS skin. Lucky girl!

GINNIFER GOODWIN

With the beginning of the New Year quickly approaching, many of you will be considering a makeover of some sort. I hope that these makeovers and the others that I've previously included on my blog will inspire you to do something that expresses your individuality, that is unique and that makes you feel like a Princess.

I got me a new 'do!

I finally went and got my hair cut this past Monday. It basically looks just like these pictures, only just slightly shorter. I do have naturally wavy hair so my hair requires a flat iron for some styles. But I love it! AND the Hot Tamale loves it too!

I had been growing my hair longer for a specific event and now that event has come and gone so I went back to my "roots" - short hair. I love me some short hair.

Short hair isn't necessarily a change for me but this particular style is. Since the style is still slightly long on top, it still allows me some versatility. This style is edgy yet still classic so it will work on any age. I've seen pictures of Willow Smith with a similar style and I have also seem an older, white-haired lady on the movie "The Women" with a similar style.

I think that trying out a new haircut is a fantastic way to update your look and build confidence at the same time.

I love this hair!

I realize that this is not what Katie Holmes hair looks like currently but I love this hair. I have actually been growing my hair out a little bit and I'm just a little bit shy of being able to have this hair. Actually, right now, my hair is a textured slight A-line. It should only be about another couple of months before I can do this cut!

Cheap update for your shoes

I wear these shoes alot. They're comfortable. They go with just about anything. And they recently got a cheap update.

I purchased the shoes several months ago at K-Mart on clearance for $5.00. A month or two ago, I was browsing through Target and stumbled across these shoe clips. The price? $4.00! The shoe clips are made from black and silver zippers so even though it's a flower, it's still edgy. You can buy several pairs of different shoe clips and take them on trips with you to change up your look. I also stumbled across a really fancy beaded pair that I've had for years that I can use to dress up these same shoes. Talk about packing light!
